All new parents experience stress. Having insight into some tools can help! Balanced Beginnings is a small group series aimed at increasing parental stress management skills. Join us for a weekly series where you will meet new friends and explore this material.
This program is based on the Mothers & Babies Curriculum, a program shown to decrease and/or prevent anxiety and depression symptoms in pregnancy and after baby. https://www.mothersandbabiesprogram.org/
This program curriculum is presented in weekly topics over the course of 9 sessions. We are currently offering this program as part of a virtual weekly support group. People can join us any week that works for them and gain exposure to the components of the program while making contact with other new parents, and having access to support on topics of new parenthood, birth recovery, baby care questions, infant development, sleep and infant calming, and infant feeding.
Group is facilitated by Sara Gress MS, RN, IBCLC, PMH-C
Currently, group meetings are happening virtually on Zoom on Tuesdays 12-1pm.
Note:
No group session the week of November 11th due to the Veterans' Day Holiday
The group facilitators will be on winter break and not hosting group December 23rd or 30th. We look forward to seeing you on Jan 6th!
