PALS Renewal Course
The Pediatric Advanced Life Support Class is an American Heart Association Class designed to give the health care provider knowledge and skills for caring for a critically ill pediatric patient. This is a one day renewal course for providers who have previously taken the Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support class.
Preparation is required as there is no testing remediation in this fast moving class. Registration is required. Fees apply.
You should complete the pre-course assessment on the AHA PALS student website before the PALS provider course. You should print out your certificate and bring it with you to the class.
Because the PALS provider course does not teach algorithms, ECG recognition, pharmacology, or BLS skills, use the pre-course assessment to identify any deficiencies in your knowledge of these topics.
The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in all AHA courses and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the AHA. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course materials, do not represent income to the AHA.
