Infant Care & Safety Class
They say it takes a village to raise a child, and they are right!
New parents are not alone in their care of infants. Grandparents, aunts and uncles, older siblings often play a vital role in the lives of babies. For many families this care extends to a variety of childcare providers ranging from family friends, nannies, Au Pairs, and more formal licensed and unlicensed childcare centers. This course is a one-evening offering intended to provide these supportive infant care providers with current evidence-based information about the safe care of infants.
The topics covered will include:
- Safe Sleep
- Infant Communication
- Infant Comforting Methods
- Infant Illness & Immunizations
- Car Seats
- Infant Feeding
- Basic Infant CPR
This class is designed to provide plenty of hands-on opportunities to increase the participant’s confidence in caring for infants.
Class will run for 6pm -8:30pm
