Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED Skills Checkoff

Course Description

The AHA's Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Course is designed to prepare students to provide first aid, CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner.

This is the hands-on portion of the Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED blended learning course and is designed to teach students the hands-on skills needed to deliver first aid, CPR and AED. The online portion must be completed first and you must present your certificate at the beginning of class.

Upon successful completion of both the online and hand-on portions of the course, students receive a course completion eCard, valid for two years.

Target Audience:

Heartsaver courses are designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for a job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements. These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting.

Please complete the online portion before coming to class. The online portion can be found at www.elearning.heart.org/course/9
